Time and the Psyche

Take an analog ticking clock and place it a little over head-height and place it on the wall and down the hall so that you can still see the ticking hand from your distance. Start thinking logically about whatever you want and go through your thoughts. Not too fast and not too slow, but fast if you can handle it. Keep thinking and walk towards the clock while always keeping your eye on the tick and slowly walk towards the clock and you’ll see that as the tick becomes more apparent your thinking will slow down. But you must keep your eye on the tick. Now walk all the way up to the clock and stare at the tick; your thinking will almost come to a halt and it’s just perception at that moment.
