Tech Time Reduction

I purchase a small bag of chocolate chip cookies from the vending machine then start one music track from iTunes then when I open the bag and see how much cookies there are as a whole I gear myself or my mind to finish the bag of cookies casually right when and where the music ends. I do this as second nature. I don’t look at how long the track is or how it counts down on the clock, but I really know this eighties song. “Girlfriend in a coma”, by the Smiths. I know the song cold down to its last melodic tone. And when this phenomenon happens I wonder why it happened that way. I’ve done this a couple of times before and left it to chance, but this time it was at a notice. The mind is so engaged that it takes forever for this task to be done with so that we may move on like going to work on something of your hobby. But in reality the time was only three to four and a half minutes. As you work closer with machines you speed up the machine in your head and your body and you evolve. You become faster and more accurate, but I wouldn’t give up accuracy for speed (Ron Pohnel).

Another thing I wan to talk about here and brainstorm just a little bit is that you can shorten or process of doing things by using a stopwatch like timing how long it takes you to take a shower. Take a shower regular style and time it; take notice. Do it again the next time but mover as fast as you can and see that the time cuts down significantly. Do it again and you will hit a limit. But what the nice thing about is that you become accustomed to the new speed and henceforth save time. Keep doing it and you will shave off seconds but you hit a limit. Do this with everything you do and you will accomplish the small little tasks that might be a pain a little faster. It doesn’t even feel like you are using more energy after the next few times until the behavior becomes modified. If you see what you are going to do in your mind’s eye and carry out the everyday schematic task then doing this or practicing this becomes more of a reality. But the greatest benefit to this kind of behavior modification is that the small things you do throughout the day become faster. Now the next step is to make as few mistakes as possible. But you will make mistakes (we all do), no matter slow or fast. The faster you go the more mistakes you will make unless you practice not to make the mistakes and keep attention to your behavior. This is practice in actuality; it is not a mental thing. The only thing that is in the mind when doing this is to figure out the next “shortest” step in your process to cut down of time of doing the chore.
