New Thought

Are new discoveries in philosophical thought limitless in terms of what we can and how we can know our surroundings? I have this idea of philosophy that is in terms of application. It comes in varying degrees. For one how I interact with the environment immediately surrounding me to the point that I question my beliefs about everything where I come to realize that I really don’t know that much about what I see. I have not studied philospohy in great depth but I do know some fundamentals. And I think I can build on that by creating another branch of epistemology. If I’m very critical about my experiences from day to day I learn new things and come up with new ideas but they happen so fast that I can’t remember what new thing I have learned later on unless such new things are repetitive. Can new philosophical thought take us to the stars as we presume technological advance will? Can philosophy be scientific in method? This new idea that creates in me should have application. It’s not like I come up with new mathematical formulas but how I examine my thoughts and come to new perspectives on things. I think what I’m trying to touch is a kind of thought that promotes innovation through observation. This has nothing whatsoever to do with philosophy of morality or ethics. I think it is definitely a branch of epistemology. Through observation I try to grasp the essence of things and for example the essence of objects in motion. Maybe different species of birds that glide through the air in varying ways. I see a kind of method. A kind of system. I can extract information of these things and apply them to other situations. But it’s all speculation. I can’t actually build the things I want to test because it requires a team of minds that have to agree on the basic premises of what I’m talking about. These ideas are not unique, I just notice them constantly. For example, if we study birds can we make better war planes? I think we can. One rule of thumb of this philosophy is to first look at nature as a source of ideas and then couple that with the imagination. I think we can accelerate innovation. Therefore precipitating a innovation revolution. I saw this one guy at the vw dealership do exactly what I can do, but to a better degree. The way he reacted with speed and accuracy with the office objects. It’s hard for my to write exactly what I feel because it’s something that I have never read about while studying philosophy at the university level. But no doubt there it was in front of me and I don’t think he realized what he was doing, but he did it. It was the way he manipulated the letter suction transport system in the office. If you go to vw of van nuys service desk you’ll see what I’m talking about. They have this system that’s a vacuum where a person can lace a pod in the tube and the pod (with the documents in it) goes to another section of the building without having a person delivering the documents by hand. His name was Daryl Hern. He doesn’t work there any more but his brother Dennis does. I’m just trying to recount my experience there. To me Daryl demonstrated control to very high degree. I can replicate it better than I can put it down and if I showed you, you probably wouldn’t understand unless you saw it yourself and started living you days by it.
